Laser Cutting Technology
This process is capable of holding quite close tolerances, often to within 0.001 inch (0.025 mm). Part geometry and the mechanical soundness of the machine have much to do with tolerance capabilities. The typical surface finish resulting from laser beam cutting may range from 125 to 250 micro-inches (0.003 mm to 0.006 mm).

How accurate is our laser cutting service?
Fiber laser cutting is the ideal technology for cutting flat sheet metal, as it can provide minutely detailed accuracy.
A fiber laser cut line, programming the laser to cut to no width can be as small as 0.3mm. When compared to alternative cutting methods, such as Electro Discharge Machining, The Amada Lasers produce a more accurate process.
What materials can you cut?
We can supply several materials, in many thicknesses, grades, and finishes. From mild steel cutting and aluminium cutting, to brass and copper laser cutting, and much more.
What are the thinnest and thickest flat sheets you can supply and laser cut?
We can cut up to 20mm thick in mild steel, 18mm in stainless steel and 16mm in aluminium. The thinnest material we can cut is 0.5mm in steel and aluminium.
The largest part size we can cut is 3070 x 1550mm, depending on the part, material and thickness of the sheet required.
